  • The details you enter in our form are not stored on the website. They are sent by email to our team.
  • We do not sell personal data, and we do not send marketing messages without your consent.
  • Questions or requests: Contact@datamap.com

1. Who we are

The website datamap.com is operated by DataMap, company no. 511271074, 23 Bar Kochva St. (V-Tower), Bnei Brak 5126002, Israel (“DataMap”, “we”), as part of the DataMap Group. We are the controller of the data collected on the website. Our registered company name in Hebrew is דטהמפ מערכות מידע גיאוגרפיות בע”מ.

2. What this policy covers

This policy explains what data we collect on the website, in Hebrew and in English, and through the contact channels it offers (form, email, phone and WhatsApp), why we use it, who we share it with, and what your rights are.

3. Data you give us

  • Contact form: full name, email address, phone number and the details of your inquiry. If you reached the website through a Google ad, the ad click ID is attached to your inquiry.
  • Email, phone or WhatsApp: whatever you choose to tell us, including attachments.
  • Job applications: your CV and any other details you send us.

You are not legally required to give us any data; it is up to you. Without contact details, however, we cannot get back to you or handle your inquiry. Please do not send sensitive data, such as medical information or ID numbers, that your inquiry does not need.

4. Data collected automatically

When you browse the website, technical data is collected: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, the site that referred you, and an identifier of an ad that brought you here (for example a Google Ads click ID). Some of it is collected with cookies, as described in section 7.

5. Why we use the data

  • To answer inquiries, prepare quotes and provide our services.
  • To consider job applications.
  • To run and secure the website, and to prevent spam and abuse.
  • To analyse how the website is used and improve it.
  • To measure how well our advertising works, for example whether an inquiry came from an ad.
  • To comply with the law and protect our rights.

We will not send you marketing messages without your express consent, as the law requires. We do not sell personal data.

6. Who we share data with

  • DataMap Group companies, when your inquiry concerns a service they provide.
  • Service providers acting on our behalf: website hosting (uPress), sending the website’s email and our company mailboxes (Google and Microsoft), Google analytics and advertising tools such as Google Analytics and Google Ads (through Google Tag Manager), and spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA).
  • Embedded content: a YouTube video (loaded only when you click it), a Google Maps map on the contact page, and Google Fonts. When they load, Google receives technical data such as your IP address.
  • WhatsApp: the WhatsApp button opens a chat in Meta’s WhatsApp, which is subject to WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it, and others when needed to protect our rights.
  • A merger, sale or transfer of business: to the party taking over the business, subject to this policy.

Service providers receive only the data they need to provide their service to us.

7. Cookies

A cookie is a small file that the website stores in your browser. We use:

  • Essential cookies, for example to remember the website language.
  • Google analytics and advertising cookies, to measure use of the website and the effectiveness of our ads.
  • Cookies of embedded services, such as reCAPTCHA, YouTube and Google Maps.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on, and manage ad preferences in Google’s ad settings. Blocking cookies may stop some features from working, such as sending the form.

8. Transfers outside Israel

Some of our service providers, such as Google and Microsoft, store and process data on servers outside Israel, for example in the United States and Europe. We transfer data abroad in accordance with the law, including the Israeli Privacy Protection Regulations on transferring data to databases abroad.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the data, including encrypted connections to the website (HTTPS), access restrictions and reputable providers. The details you enter in our form are not stored on the website; they are sent by email to our team. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

10. How long we keep data

We keep data for as long as we need it for the purpose it was given for, and after that as long as the law requires or as needed for legal protection, for example records of our correspondence and of services provided. Applicants’ CVs are kept for a reasonable period for future openings, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.

11. Your rights

  • To access the data we hold about you.
  • To ask us to correct or delete data that is inaccurate, incomplete, unclear or out of date.
  • To ask us to delete your details or stop contacting you.
  • To withdraw a consent you have given.

To make a request, write to Contact@datamap.com. We will reply within 30 days and may first ask you to verify your identity. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can contact the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority at the Ministry of Justice.

12. Children

The website is intended for business customers and adults. We do not knowingly collect data about minors.

13. Links to other websites

The website links to third-party services and websites such as Waze, Facebook and LinkedIn. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to them.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page, with its date.
